Issues with porn use and associated activities are ones for which people are least likely to seek support. Shame is a very common thread, as is a long-standing pattern of failed attempts to stop or temper their behaviour. Some worry that what they’ve looked at or done might cross lines of consent or legality, and so never look for help, sometimes with disastrous effects on their personal and professional lives.
My work is not about judgement, and I work with clients knowing that the behaviours only becomes manageable when they can be spoken about honestly and safely.
I’ve been working in the field of addiction for more than twenty years, and the common thread across all forms of compulsive behaviour is isolation. When something is hidden, it grows in secrecy and shame and power. I offer my clients a space where that secrecy can end without punishment or moralising; where it’s possible to contain, contextualise and understand our behaviours rather than to condemn them.
My work is completely confidential, and I have extensive experience discussing all manner of porn and porn-related behaviours, such as NSFW Games, AI porn, AI image creation and chatbots, OnlyFans, cam girls, financial domination, being a sugar daddy, and my work has taken me to the most extreme ends of porn categorisation. I’m a hard man to shock, and there are few topics I have not discussed with clients before.
Together with my clients, we examine drives the behaviour, what it costs, and what change might mean for you. The work is serious, but it doesn’t have to be bleak — it’s about honesty, recovery, and regaining a sense of control and connection.
